My Ideal Client

I specialize in providing therapy for motivated individuals who appreciate open, honest dialogue and value the use of humor in the therapeutic process. My clinical practice is centered on helping clients navigate a range of issues, including Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), as well as relationship issues, parenting difficulties, midlife and menopausal transitions, and family estrangement.

My Background and Approach

The foundation of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I hold the belief that the quality of our connection is the primary catalyst for change and healing. This perspective is deeply informed by Attachment Theory, which examines how early relational experiences shape current relationship patterns, including the relationship one has with oneself. My approach is integrative and draws upon evidence-based modalities, ensuring the work is tailored to your unique needs. This may include the use of Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness based techniques, Narrative therapy, and of course Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I believe my clients would describe me as animated and highly engaged, bringing authentic, genuine energy to each session. I offer direct feedback when necessary, providing clear, honest insights while maintaining unwavering respect and compassion.

Social Justice Issues I Care About

My choice to become a therapist through the field of Social Work is deeply rooted in a commitment to social justice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I adhere to a code of ethics that mandates this dedication. This foundation informs my belief in and advocacy for key social issues, including LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racism, anti-violence, pro-immigration, pro-choice, and universal human rights. This is not a time to stay quiet in what we believe in, even if voicing them means potentially losing a client.
