My Ideal Client

My specialty areas include managing anxiety, ADHD, stress around work, family, dating, relationships, college and life transitions, improving self esteem and coping with infertility and childlessness. I am licensed in and accepting clients from Oregon, Washington and New York.

My Approach to Helping

By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a focus on mindfulness and your unique strengths, I can help you understand and change unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Through our work you'll develop a better awareness of who you are, what you want and how to get it. I'll help you discover and feel confident in yourself, and figure out how to live the life you want. Together we'll identify problem areas or places where you feel stuck and find new ways of responding that will afford you more enjoyable, fulfilling outcomes. I'm dedicated to creating an environment of respect and appreciation for all clients' racial and ethnic membership, gender and sexual identity, social class, religious affiliation, nationality, body size, and disability status. Throughout our work I'll promote an atmosphere of openness, trust, and safety where all attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviors can be freely explored and discussed.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

My experience and training make me especially qualified to help individuals manage a broad variety of concerns. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from the State University of NY at Stony Brook in 2003, and my master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice in 2005. I then completed three years of intensive clinical practice and study, earning my LCSW (licensed clinical social work) credential in 2011. I have extensive training in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
