My Background and Approach

Hello! I imagine you are here because something isn't quite right in your life and you are seeking guidance to make positive changes. As you explore what therapy has to offer you, let your heart lead you into a healing journey that has the potential to transform difficult parts of life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My approach to therapy is holistic and relationship oriented. I have worked in marriage and family therapy since 2012. What I love about my job is to support people to come to new insights that change their lives for the better.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Somatic therapy recognizes the connection between your body and your psyche. The body is where our earliest emotional patterns were formed. The body is also where we hold trauma and abuse. By working directly with your body in psychotherapy, connecting sensations and symptoms to psychic processes, we work towards changing and resetting your nervous system to support re-inhabiting yourself at a cellular level.

  • Depth Therapy External link

Depth therapy works directly with the suffering of the soul. Anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship conflict, body image issues, addiction, and/or trauma are the matrix of the transformational process in a depth process. The gold, or valuable materials within, is buried in your suffering, pains, and hurts. Your life path is discovered in the middle of your greatest afflictions.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Cultural and Systemic Oppression External link

My practice is full of people from diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. I work with interracial couples, lgbtqiq individuals/couples, and a multiplicity of relationship structures. I have a background in cultural anthropology, with an emphasis on social transformation. It is important to me to create a safe place to explore complex issues, and I do this by exploring and learning about my own biases, culture, and social conditioning.
