My Approach to Helping

I am a relational therapist at heart, which means I strive to build a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you so that healing and growth can occur. Therapy to me is a collaborative experience, and we will work together to find what motivates and energizes you. During therapy, you will be able to process through your struggles and learn practical skills and new ways of being that will help you feel more balanced in life. I utilize a trauma-informed, eclectic approach that is intersectional and strengths-based to help you reach your goals. I am a counselor in training and under Supervision.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Prior to pursuing my career as a counselor, I worked as a high school teacher, writer, national service trainer, and fitness instructor. It was my own meaningful experiences over many years as as a client myself, commitment to repair and self actualization, and deep curiosity and compassion for the human experience that inspired my pivot to counseling. Creative expression, the arts, and fitness are central parts of my life, and I aim to continue integrating these passions into my therapeutic work.
