My Approach to Helping

My process with you is collaborative, dismantling myself as the expert in the room while centering your own strengths and expertise in the treatment. My role is to explore goals you would like to achieve and then identify what challenges are interfering with your achievement while reinforcing the contributing strengths. The therapeutic relationship between us will be a core component to the treatment, establishing trust and safety will be a large focus during our time together. I use a mindfulness approach working with you to connect to body and breath. In doing so you will gain skills to be actively present to disengage from negative thought cycles and enhance relaxation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe there is innate wisdom in every person and how we can tap into that wisdom amidst distressing symptoms being experienced is by slowing down and being mindful. I explore regulation of the nervous system through nature and mindfulness work. In my approach, we incorporate you as a whole person, not just your symptoms, we will explore your different identities and the systems you are involved in to enhance your treatment. I am passionate about serving clients in both English and Spanish.
