My Ideal Client

Clients who gravitate towards this type of work tend to be moving through identity shifts, relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, and the general messiness of life. Many identify as LGBTQIA+, queer, trans, or non-binary. Others are drawn to somatic approaches and polyvagal work, eco-therapy, or the unique experience of equine-assisted psychotherapy. What they have in common is a readiness to dig in, and a therapist who will meet them there.

My Approach to Helping

I believe healing happens in relationship, and that the body often knows things the mind hasn't caught up to yet. My approach is less about analyzing your way to wellness from the top down, and more about working from the bottom up: tuning into what your nervous system is already telling you, building safety in the therapeutic relationship, and letting insight emerge from there. Connection is at the heart of all of it. Whether with a therapist, a horse, or the natural world, safe relationships create the conditions where the nervous system can actually relax enough to let change happen. I draw on relational, somatic, and polyvagal-informed approaches, and I'm a firm believer in the healing potential of the natural world. Whether that looks like telehealth therapy from your couch or equine-assisted psychotherapy in an actual field with an actual horse, I'm interested in creating conditions where real change can happen without forcing it.

My Values as a Therapist

I show up to this work with a clear set of values. I'm committed to queer-positive, trans-affirming, sex-positive, and body-positive care, and I take seriously the ways that internalized oppression, privilege, and power show up in the therapy room and in our lives. My practice is rooted in feminism, social justice, and intersectionality. It shapes how I listen, how I hold space, and how I think about what healing actually means for each person who walks through the door. I want therapy to feel like a place where all of you is welcome.

I discovered equine-assisted psychotherapy in graduate school and knew immediately it was where my love of horses and my clinical work were always headed. Horses are uniquely attuned to the nervous system — they respond to what we're actually feeling, not what we're presenting. Working alongside them in nature creates opportunities for connection, regulation, and safety that are hard to replicate anywhere else.
