My Ideal Client

I frequently work with adults ages 18–35 who are navigating the challenges of early adulthood, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. I support clients in building confidence, resolving past trauma, and reconnecting with a stronger sense of self. Oftentimes, this work includes letting go of stories we've been told about who we should be, what we should do, or how we should live our lives.

My Background and Approach

I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach tailored to your individual needs. My work is grounded in psychodynamic counseling and shaped by my own spiritual path, including time in residence at a Buddhist monastery. In psychodynamic therapy, the relationship we build becomes a central part of the healing process—offering insight, safety, and a deeper understanding of self. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), a “parts work” model that recognizes various internal voices (think inner critic, inner child, etc) as meaningful parts of a whole. This approach helps us get curious about the different aspects of you—not to pathologize them, but to better understand their needs and roles. I also integrate cognitive and mindfulness-based tools to help loosen the grip of limiting beliefs, support emotion regulation, and build self-trust. When we believe every thought we have, we suffer. When we learn to question them, space opens up—and with it, new possibilities.

More About the People I Treat

Many people come to therapy carrying shame, hopelessness, or painful beliefs about themselves—sometimes shaped by past experiences with the mental health system. Even well-meaning professionals can unknowingly reinforce those beliefs due to fear, stigma, or blind spots. If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, pathologized, or limited by a diagnosis, I want you to know that it’s still possible to have a different kind of therapeutic experience. My approach is relational, inclusive, and focused on meeting you where you are. Together, we’ll build a space that supports your self-discovery and healing, at a pace and depth that works for you.
