My Ideal Client

I work with adults navigating relationships, identity, grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, self-worth, and life transitions such as menopause, aging, or disability. My clients often feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and others. Together, we explore their unique landscape and uncover the wisdom within, moving toward growth, healing, and a more authentic, empowered life.

My Background

I am a State Approved Registered Associate Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling. I bring training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Restoration Therapy, and DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging). As a Queer practitioner, I affirm sexual freedom and the right for all people to love whomever they choose. My graduate program emphasized rehabilitation counseling, supporting individuals through major life transitions such as disability, loss of function, or addiction. This foundation deepened my commitment to helping clients reclaim their lives and move from surviving into thriving. I specialize in guiding adults through challenges with relationships, identity, grief, anxiety, depression, and self-worth, always centering a person’s innate wisdom and capacity for growth.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I aspire to bring more ease and wellness to a world that desperately needs both. I am inspired by the resilience I see in people and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate struggle and discover their own inner light. Helping others expand into personal liberation and live their best lives excites me and keeps me deeply connected to this work. As a Queer practitioner and advocate for equity and belonging, I believe everyone deserves the freedom to love fully and be fully themselves. My training in DBT, Restoration Therapy, and DEIB, along with a Master’s degree in Counseling focused on rehabilitation, grounds my practice. I am especially passionate about supporting people through transitions like grief, disability, or recovery from addiction, guiding them toward thriving with greater authenticity and hope.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) External link

During my internship at Providence Behavioral Health’s Partial Inpatient Program, I was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I continue to find these skills highly effective in addressing self-care, identity struggles, depression, anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, and related concerns.

  • EcoTherapy External link

I draw from ecotherapy practices; having led mindful forest bathing excursions, I deeply value the healing connection between humans and nature. As a professional artist, I can sometimes find it useful to incorporate expressive arts as a way to access flow, uncover subconscious blocks, and support creative self-discovery.

  • Interpersonal External link

My years as a Dean of Students in higher education, combined with personal interests, have also led me to extensive training in interpersonal conflict resolution and Nonviolent Communication. These skills are often integrated into my work with clients navigating interpersonal challenges and relationship dynamics.
