My Ideal Client

Some days it can feel as if you are carrying around more than you can handle-the weight of anxiety, a challenging past or fluctuating moods. Maybe you're an adult running on empty or a teenager who's tired of pretending everything is fine. Maybe you are a senior who is facing losses you didn't see coming. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone. I've spent 33 years walking alongside people through these kind of moments and would be honored to walk with you.

My Approach to Helping

As a licensed clinical social worker with over 3 decades of experience, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and mood disorders as well as issues of stress management, aging and loss. I work specifically with teens, adults and seniors. My style is warm and collaborative. We will work together to identify what is currently impacting your life, explore contributing factors and identify what changes would actually make a difference in your daily life. We set clear goals because focused, purposeful therapy gets results. My approach is rooted in CBT, ACT, DBT and trauma-informed care. I adapt my interventions to what actually works for you. I offer flexible virtual sessions across Oregon and Washington.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we all have an internal resilience that at times can get lost given any number of stressors going on in our lives. Sometimes we need outside perspective to help reconnect with those strengths and internal values, I see that as a primary role as a therapist. I also understand that what we surround ourselves with in life is very impactful managing our wellbeing. These things include our relationships, jobs, hobbies and values that are at the core of who we are. Personally, my family, friends and animals are at the core of my own self-care. Living on a small farm, I spend much of my time gardening, taking care of my donkeys, goats and chickens and have been working with my dog to become an animal therapy team. I look forward to exploring what is important to your wellbeing and help you identify ways to reconnect if those aspects have felt more disconnected lately.
