My Ideal Client

I am welcoming and affirming. I provide a safe space for your whole self to be accepted and to grow. I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures over the years and am a queer ally. Clients come in to address anxiety, mood, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. We might discuss unresolved earlier experiences and current patterns that have roots in the original family system, as well as impacts from challenging and/or traumatic events, attending to your strengths.

My Approach to Helping

I specialize in individual and couples therapy for concerns such as anxiety, relationships family of origin issues, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, navigating change etc. I incorporate "Brainspotting" in my work, which is a technique similar to EMDR in terms of focusing your gaze while we're talking in order to help you process challenges and integrate healing at a deeper subcortical level (rather than solely from a more logical brain focus). We also work together in a typical therapy way to help you feel more resourced and process distress and stuck feelings/patterns etc.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a licensed Psychologist (previously licensed at the Master's level) and have been in the field over 25 years. I specialize in individual therapy with adults and couples therapy. I have taught graduate classes and supervise students, interns, and psychology residents. I continue to seek opportunities for learning and growth in this work that I love so much.
