My Approach

Whether it's managing intense emotions, improving relationships, making a change, understanding yourself or simply feeling better, I can assist you in successfully navigating life's ups and downs. Everyone can benefit from talking to someone trained and experienced in helping people build on their strengths and overcome life’s challenges. Give me a call and let’s talk about what you’re going through. I work with individuals with a broad variety of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, family conflict, social and relationship issues, transition to adulthood, learning disabilities, behavioral concerns and just plain old stress--no matter what the cause. In addition to therapy, I am thrilled to offer clinical supervision for CSWAs seeking licensure. Please see my website for more details. I offer a free, initial phone consultation to see if we'd be a good fit, and have afternoon & evening hours available. If you or your child are ready, I'd love to hear from you!

My Background

I offer more than a decade of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum (formerly known as Asperger's). I’ve also helped dozens of young people work through challenges associated with identifying as LGBTQ. Above all, I love collaborating with families to strengthen relationships and communication. Some of my most rewarding career experience has included: helping all types of students apply and adjust to college; working with families on parenting, communication, academic and social skills; providing behavioral, organizational, social and academic coaching to students with IEPs, ADHD, ASD and various learning disabilities; co-founding two programs for students on the autism spectrum (formerly known as Asperger's) in the New York City public school system; directing a group home for LGBTQ youth in foster care; consulting with teachers in Gresham Barlow School District to provide appropriate support for students presenting behavioral challenges.
