My Ideal Client

We learn to "live" with it and "cope" with trauma, and some of us may feel helpless and hopeless due to the damaging effects trauma has on our minds and bodies. When we experience trauma, we try to manage the effects of our feelings, emotions, and thoughts. Sometimes, we use substances or alcohol to cope with the stressors and triggers of trauma. When our life has become unmanageable, we tend to numb the pain or freeze and these are common trauma responses, but they don't have to be.

My Background and Approach

I provide the tools necessary to cope with and heal from the everyday effects of trauma. I have worked with individuals who have experienced extensive trauma history for over 10 years. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed using empathy and active listening skills to support the client with their needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems.

My Values as a Therapist

At the core of my practice, confidentiality, empathy, respect, cultural sensitivity and evidence-based practice are values I constantly strive for.
