Additionally, I identify as kink friendly and have received specialized training in human sexuality. I enjoy helping people connect with and accept their sexuality.

My Background and Approach

I am an associate marriage and family therapist, meaning I specialize in relationships and social-emotional needs. I work with couples, families, and individuals on a wide range of issues. i primarily use relational CBT, ACT, and the Gottman method in my work. This means I will examine your personal goals, values, and beliefs. We will then work together to create a reality which aligns with your true self. We will examine behaviors which create closeness in relationships and behaviors which create distance in relationships. I have specialized training in human sexuality and kink. I am experienced working with sexual concerns, gender-related concerns, and non-monogamy. I am a certified abuse interventionist. I am experienced working with high conflict couples and/or couples who have experienced intimate partner violence. Lastly, I am experienced working with chronic illness and disability. I have experience working with couples who are impacted by chronic illness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each person is deserving of positivity, acceptance, and support. I believe that each person carries unique experiences which shape their values, beliefs, and behaviors. I believe in perspective taking and unconditional positive regard. I became a therapist to help others who are struggling to connect with who they are and are struggling to connect with other people. I believe that quality of mental health relies largely on social support networks. I identify as a queer, cis-gender woman and am currently partnered. I have experience working with queer individuals and couples. I am a firm advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and liberties. Lastly, I am a disabled therapist and am proud to serve others with chronic illness or disability. Chronic illness presents unique challenges which are crucial to consider in therapy. I also work with caregivers and other support persons who are impacted by chronic illness.
