If you have noticed that your worries are interfering with your life, that you have changed since something bad or overwhelming happened to you, that your ability to cope has lessened, or that you are not recovering emotionally after giving birth, I am here to help you. I specialize in working with people experiencing anxiety, recovering from trauma, pushing toward burnout, or navigating perinatal mood disorders like postpartum depression.
Specialties
I received my certification as an Equine Assisted Mental Health Practitioner from the University of Denver, alongside my Master's in Social Work and a general certification in Animal Assisted Social Work. "Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what is missing in our lives and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are and to the purpose of why we are here." ~ Trisha McCogh
Specialties
For three years I provided behavioral health consultation for an OBGYN clinic, focusing specifically on serving pregnant patients. I received specialized training from the Seleni Institute to treat perinatal mental health concerns, spanning all of pregnancy and extending well into postpartum. I feel that the experiences and emotional struggles of pregnant people are some of the most unseen, unheard, and undertreated issues of our time, and I strive to undo the harm that invisibility causes.
