My approach is mindfulness-based, trauma-informed and derives from the perspective that the body, mind and spirit are deeply interconnected. I place an importance on therapist-client collaboration, and I provide a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental space. I am LGBTQ affirming. My demeanor is both gentle and compassionate, as well as direct and honest. I utilize positive psychology, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies as well as art therapy and somatic mind-body modalities that promote self-awareness, healing, integration and self-compassion.

I hold a Master of Arts in Art Therapy/Counseling from Marylhurst University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Post-Baccalaureate in Women’s Studies from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have over a decade of experience in working therapeutically with adults, adolescents, and children as well as families. I have specialized training and experience in working with issues pertaining to intimate partner violence, spirituality, addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, attachment and trauma recovery. And, I take part in ongoing post masters education around evidenced-based therapeutic practices, mindfulness and mind/body modalities. I am also a professional member of the Oregon Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association.
