My Ideal Client

My approach combines body, mind, and spirit by maintaining a holistic approach to navigating a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD). My practice is client-centered, and I believe in the inherent goodness, potential, and ability of all individuals to be their authentic selves.

My Background and Approach

I am a clinical mental health counseling intern supervised by Emily Brems, LMFT. Emily specializes in sex therapy and restoration therapy, and I integrate these therapies into my practice. I also have training in codependency issues, trauma-informed stabilization treatment (TIST), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy. These treatment modalities are designed to treat individuals with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD), trauma, codependency, and addictions of all types. Integrating these treatments will help to improve emotional regulation, increase a sense of safety and stability, enhance self-awareness and insight, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My life journey has taken me down my own healing path, instilling in me a passion for walking alongside others to help them discover their truth, wisdom, strength, and authenticity. By collaborating to build a safe, trusting relationship, I can help empower you to gain personal insights, develop effective strategies, and find real solutions to the challenges you face. You don’t have to suffer. Life can be beautiful—even when it’s imperfect.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

I use Somatic (Body-Centered) Therapy because I recognize that healing is not just a cognitive process—it also lives in the body. Many clients carry unresolved trauma, stress, and emotional pain that words alone cannot fully access. By engaging the body through awareness, movement, breath, and sensation, somatic therapy allows clients to process and release what has been stored beyond their conscious mind.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy because it empowers clients to slow down, tune into the present moment, and develop a more compassionate, nonjudgmental relationship with their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. So often, clients come to therapy caught in cycles of worry about the future or regret from the past. Mindfulness offers them practical tools to anchor in the here and now, creating space for greater clarity, calm, and choice.

  • Humanistic  External link

I am passionate about using Humanistic Theory because it honors the inherent worth, dignity, and potential within every client. This approach resonates with my belief that people are not defined by their struggles or diagnoses, but are whole beings capable of growth, healing, and self-actualization when provided with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Women's Issues External link

I want to create a safe, affirming, and empowering space where women can explore their stories without judgment. My passion lies in helping women rediscover their voice, reclaim their worth, and build lives that feel authentic, balanced, and whole.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I am passionate about counseling individuals with relationship issues because relationships are at the core of human experience. The way we connect with others—whether through family, friendships, or intimate partnerships—shapes our sense of belonging, self-worth, and emotional well-being. Supporting clients through these challenges allows me to help them gain insight into their patterns, develop healthier communication skills, and create more authentic, balanced connections.

  • Personal Growth External link

I am passionate about working with clients who are committed to personal growth because I value the courage it takes to face oneself honestly and embrace change. My passion is also grounded in the belief that personal growth is not only about “fixing problems” but about cultivating a richer, more fulfilling life. I find meaning in supporting people who want to deepen their self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and live with greater authenticity.
