I provide an inclusive, safe and welcoming space for all, especially for marginalized populations. I will hold space for you, advocate for you & encourage you to process how the state of the world is impacting you and find support in community. Counseling can help support you through many challenges, including life transitions such as divorce/uncoupling, job changes, moving, graduating, unhealthy relationships, parenting, burnout and living in an oppressive patriarchal society.
Specialties
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic approach with the emphasis of psychotherapy on how things are currently impacting you and focuses on practicing skills to change unhealthy thinking and behaviors. Exploring and processing where these emotions, thoughts, and behaviors stem from is also integrated. I practice Trauma Informed Care by understanding the impact of your traumatic experiences, providing psychological safety, and helping you rebuild a sense of control and trust.
Mindfulness and Acceptance based approaches to counseling can also be very effective. I infuse these elements into my practice, including relaxation training, breathing exercises, visualization, and accepting or acknowledging the difficult aspects of our lives without judgement. With Mindfulness you can learn to pay attention to thoughts and feelings with acceptance and non-judgement.
I meet you where you are at in your healing journey! I help you to build insight and gentile, positive motivation for change.

I really enjoy working with and empowering women. Women face many unique challenges in a patriarchal society and our experiences in this world are colored by our culture and our roles. Whether dealing with general life stressors, discrimination, women's rights, balancing work/home life, parenting, divorce/uncoupling, navigating relationships, etc. A feminist and equality lens I believe is beneficial for everyone.
Whether due to stressors, life changes, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday life, anxiety can crop up in our lives in many ways and for some it can become debilitating. CBT is very effective for the many different manifestations of anxiety. I'm also trained and experienced in exposure therapy which is one of the primary evidence based treatments for certain types of anxiety disorders. I especially enjoy working with individuals who experience Social Phobia and Generalized Anxiety.
Working with survivors of abusive relationships, domestic violence and coercive control including verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse is one of my specialties. I am experienced in supporting individuals whose partners are exhibiting manipulative, controlling and coercive behaviors.
