My Ideal Client

I work with adults who feel lost, stuck, persistently sad, or restless—often as a result of relationship struggles, questions of identity and purpose, difficult life events and transitions, childhood trauma, or attachment wounds. I have a particular focus on supporting those whose early lives were impacted by a parent’s emotional immaturity, unpredictable behavior, or mental illness; who experienced high-conflict or even abusive households; or who have not found success with therapy in the past.

My Approach to Helping

Every person is unique, and I believe therapy should honor that uniqueness. I specialize in deep exploration, transformation, and healing from trauma, but at the heart of my work is a profound and sincere respect for your personal journey. My style is often described by colleagues and clients as empathetic, collaborative, insightful, and deeply personalized. While I work primarily from a humanistic-existential perspective, I integrate a range of approaches—including psychodynamic, neuroscience-informed, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive modalities—to create an unique approach tailored to your needs and circumstances, continually adapting as you grow and change. As your life circumstances, relationships, and you evolve, so too will our work together.

Why I Became a Therapist

As a former physician and engineer who grew up in a deeply emotionally troubled household, I navigated various careers while battling worsening mental health—until a wise and compassionate counselor helped me understand the impact of my childhood traumas, accept my own feelings and needs, and ultimately see and love myself. This transformative experience changed my relationship with myself and those around me, and allowed me to finally feel comfortable in my own skin, reclaim my freedom, and live life on my own terms. Inspired by my own deep transformation and the profound relationship I had with my counselor, I also discovered my passion and life’s calling to become a therapist myself. Since then, I have had the honor and privilege of offering the same support and guidance to others on their journeys, helping them feel seen and heard in their deepest struggles, heal and break free from past wounds, and experience a life that is no longer about surviving but living authentically.
