My Ideal Client

I specialize in working with people who are struggling with anxiety, relationships, and loss. Many of my patients wish to explore their experiences with grief, change, and transition. My practice is rooted in Gestalt therapy, which helps us slow down and notice the specific ways we are interacting with others and experiencing our internal and external worlds.

My Approach to Helping

I'm glad you're participating in the important and sometimes challenging process of finding a therapist. Here's a bit about my therapy approach to help you learn if we might be a good fit: my goal is to support you to move through pain and struggle in a way you feel good about. My therapeutic style incorporates warmth, humor, and honest feedback. I prioritize creating a space for you to safely experiment with new ways of being and communicating. I strive to help you live in a way that inspires deeper fulfillment by harnessing your natural ability to cope with stress. Sometimes when the strategies that used to work for us no longer serve their purpose, we start to struggle and suffer. When we identify these patterns and have support in trying something new, there is relief from "stuckness."

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Sometimes when the strategies that used to work for us no longer serve their purpose, we start to struggle and suffer. When we identify these patterns and have support in trying something new, there is relief from "stuckness." I would like to support you in this, whether in the context of relationship or individual therapy, primarily working from the Buddhist informed Gestalt Therapy method. My approach helps us become more aware of our present experiences—what we're feeling, thinking, and doing—and how those patterns manifest in our relationships. Gestalt therapy is especially powerful for friendship and family therapy.
