My Ideal Client

I'm a therapist with a real passion for working with women during difficult transitions such as going to college, experiencing heartbreak, becoming pregnant, learning how to be a parent, perimenopause, separation, divorce. During these times we discover reserves of inner strength that we never knew we had.

My Background and Approach

I will work with you in a safe and collaborative way to determine your goals for therapy. I'll also invite you to slow down and turn your attention inward, so you can notice thoughts and feelings that emerge and ultimately learn how to make more choices in the moment rather than simply reacting. I'll help you explore patterns of relating to others, without judgment, so you can decide which parts of your identity feel right and which no longer serve you. You will develop new skills that allow you to feel more at peace, safer in your body, and more conscious of your internal thoughts and feelings. With 13 years of EMDR experience, I am now offering 1-3 day EMDR intensives to help you find pathways to healing in a condensed amount of time without the need to commit to weekly or biweekly therapy. Limited space available for weekend intensives, so please inquire about eligibility and scheduling. Let's get started!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have been practicing since 2009 and hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, major life transitions, trauma, and pregnancy, postpartum and parenting issues. I treat a variety of traumas including acute trauma, childhood or attachment trauma, sexual trauma, and medical trauma.

    Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is well-researched and one of the most successful techniques for treating trauma, anxiety and a variety of other problems and disorders. With 15 years of experience as an EMDR therapist, I am particularly skilled at working with attachment trauma from childhood abuse and neglect, as well as many specific traumas such as birth trauma, medical issues, and accidents. This method really helps clients witness their experiences with compassion.
