My Ideal Client

Are you pregnant or postpartum and struggling to adjust, or experiencing mood and/or relationship challenges? If so I would love be part of your support team. I primarily work with adults and adolescents of reproductive age, and welcome folks of any identity. I also have specific experience and interest in supporting bereaved parents and those experiencing fertility challenges and/or grief or loss related to parenting or trying to become a parent.

My Background

My work as a therapist has been focused on the goal of helping children and families thrive. For the last 5 years I have worked in a medical clinic with Nurse Midwives, OBGYNs, and other providers as a therapist. In this role I provided mental health therapy to treat mood disorders, and provided support with various issues related to parenting including adjustment, navigating high risk pregnancies and parenting children with medical issues, grief and loss related to pregnancy loss and/or infertility, and healing from birth related trauma. I am licensed as a Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support Int'l and I started my career working for over ten years as Mental Health Therapist in school-based health clinics. That experience was foundational to my work supporting folks in all stages of their journeys to either become parents, parent children in their care, or move through traumatic grief and loss.

My Values as a Therapist

I value and respect the diversity of individuals, and my practice is rooted anti-oppressive and anti-racist frameworks. I am committed to lifelong learning and cultural humility, and make this a priority in my professional and personal education and growth. I welcome individuals from all cultures, races, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities to work with me.
