My Ideal Client

Looking for a therapist can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re already struggling. You might be dealing with anxiety, stress, or emotions that are difficult to name. You may be living with the effects of trauma, PTSD, or noticing patterns in your relationships or daily life that no longer feel sustainable. Whether you’ve been doing inner work for years or are just beginning, therapy can help you reconnect with your strengths and inner wisdom.

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based therapeutic model that explores the many parts within us. Through IFS, we learn to meet our internal world with curiosity, compassion, and care—qualities that create the conditions for real healing. As both a trauma therapist and an IFS client, I’ve found this model to be deeply validating, normalizing, and gentle. It has been profoundly transformative in my own life. I have completed IFS Level 1 training through the IFS Institute and continue to deepen my practice through consultation with certified IFS practitioners and by serving as a Program Assistant in Level 1 trainings.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I bring an eclectic background as a theater artist and educator, which informs a creative, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic style. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can explore—without judgment—what’s happening inside you and what you need to move forward. My work is dedicated to including anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed practices. As an able-bodied white cishet counselor, I see my privileges as a responsibility to continually consider how my identities and experiences interact with folx that I work with. I work with AR-TIC (Anti-Racist Trauma Informed Care) as a facilitator which works to decentralize whiteness in healing practices.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

IFS is an evidenced based therapeutic model that seeks to support understanding the complexities of each individual through their parts. Through this work, we seek to extend curiosity, compassion, and care towards our unique parts that make us whole. In my work as a trauma therapist and as a client, I have found the IFS model a deeply validating, normalizing, and gentle way to work through processing trauma.

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Embodied practices that move beyond talk therapy are vital to how I help clients move towards healing trauma. Our bodies hold trauma and also hold the keys to our healing. Through somatic interventions, we will get creative in how we can use your own innate resilience to connect with your core self and move toward the best version of you available.

  • Couples Counseling External link

Working with relationships is a unique opportunity to enter the venn diagram where the experiences of two individuals meet. I have experience in work with couples where trauma or mental health concerns are impacting relational function. I utilized EFT, attachment, and interpersonal interventions to help improve communication, connection, and understanding between partners.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

The focus of my practice is trauma processing and supporting clients toward resolving what feels unresolvable. I work with clients with acute, chronic, complex, and systemic/ancestral trauma presentations as well as dissociative/depersonalized presentations and traumagenic personality disorders. Central to my practice is providing a stable, dependable, and compassionate relationship in order to begin the healing process. As Yalom says “it’s the relationship that heals".

  • Anxiety External link

Do you find yourself in a perpetual cycle of hyper-vigilance, panic, or worry? Feeling keyed up or on edge? Do you worry about how others are perceiving you or have fears that you might be "the problem"? From both a therapist and deeply personal perspective, I understand how difficult day to day can be when you are experiencing anxiety - whether it be a new occurrence or a lifelong struggle. Let's work together to help better unstick those stuck anxious parts trying to help!
