Why I Became a Therapist

I started my career in Behavioral Neuroscience research, and bring part of my science brain into the therapeutic space. Humans are fascinating, weird, and complex. We are also worthy of compassion and understanding. I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Therapy can also be a place to challenge beliefs and behaviors that no longer benefit us.

Specialties

I specialize in working with adults who struggle with disordered eating. I received certification for Eating Disorder Treatment from Lewis and Clark's Graduate School of Education and Counseling. In my clinical work, I use the principles of intuitive eating and the mind body connection. I address fat phobia and embrace the Health at Every Size model to support clients in addressing internal and external beliefs that negatively affect our relationship with food.
