My Ideal Client

Is resentment or betrayal interfering with your ability to connect with your partner? Do you feel different and lonely, even surrounded by friends? Maybe you're tired of feeling like your emotions and behaviors are dictated by someone else's. Maybe you've lost trust in yourself—in your ability to say no, to choose a partner, to simply show up to your own life. I'd love to help.

My Background and Approach

I offer individual and relationship therapy focused on healing from the impacts of addiction and trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, somatically-integrated, client-centered, and collaborative. I draw on both bottom-up and top-down methods, working with your body's nervous system responses as much as your thoughts, emotions, and the stories you carry about yourself. Healing isn't just about insight, it's about coming home to yourself, and finding steadier, more secure ways of being in relationship with the people you love.

Why I Became a Therapist

I came to this field through my own experience in long-term recovery, which shapes my genuine, humanistic approach to this work. I'm a gentle but direct communicator, always bringing authenticity and humor into the room. My clients tell me they appreciate that I'm not a robot and show up as a human.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Codependency External link

Codependent patterns usually started as ways of staying safe and connected in early relationships, often ones where love felt conditional. Over time, though, those same patterns can leave you feeling like you don't know who you are outside of what other people need from you. In therapy, we explore where these patterns came from and build your self-trust from there, so you can set clearer boundaries and find more balanced, honest connection.

  • Early Recovery External link

Recovery is more than abstinence—it's about building a life that supports staying well, and that life looks different for everyone. Early recovery in particular can feel disorienting, and that can be where people are most vulnerable to relapse or despair. I bring a comprehensive understanding of addiction and recovery, and I'm well-versed in 12-Step, SMART Recovery, and harm reduction models, so we can build a path that actually fits your life, not someone else's template.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

Our primary relationships become our primary attachment figures, surfacing our oldest protections, patterns, and needs, which is exactly what gives them the biggest potential for both conflict and mutual healing. Often, couples find themselves repeating old pain points in an effort to finally resolve them, but end up disconnected, resentful, and isolated instead. I help couples feel truly seen, respond intentionally instead of react, and build nourishing contact that grows trust and intimacy.

  • Gambling Addiction External link

Whether it's video lottery terminals, casinos, sports betting, prediction markets, or day trading, the effects of gambling addiction can be isolating and financially and emotionally crushing, often compounded by shame and stigma that keep people from asking for help. I have specialized education, training, and experience treating problem gambling in both individuals and relationships. Together, we explore what makes gambling uniquely challenging as well as the underlying factors driving it.

  • Family Conflict External link

Family systems are complex, and many families simply don't have the tools to navigate conflict, loss, addiction, or trauma with compassion and connection, so old patterns and roles get passed down and repeated instead of resolved. In family therapy, we focus on how members influence each other, the roles they've settled into, family rules, boundaries, and communication. I help families feel heard and valued while working together to shift stuck patterns toward greater trust and empathy.
