My Approach to Helping

I take an integrated approach to therapy that is tailored to each individual's needs. Collaboration is imperative for therapy to be effective, as I believe that every person is the their life. Together we can work on empowering you to make the changes you want for your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I hold a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I published a book in 2017 titled "Empowerment Through Mythology: A Clinician's Guide to Narrative Group Therapy for Survivors of Trauma and Abuse." I also have a YouTube Channel called "Mental Health Minute with Kim."

    I have extensive experience working with individuals who identify as LGBQTI+, addressing such issues as establishing their identity, coming out, transitioning, interpersonal relationships, discrimination, and oppression.

    I have several years experience working with people who have dissociative disorders, particularly Dissociative Identity Disorder. I help clients work on cooperation within their system.

    I am a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C). My certification is from the American Academy of Grief, a subsidiary of the American Institute of Health Care Providers.
