My Ideal Client

I primarily work with individual adults who have experienced depression and anxiety related to interpersonal, social and occupational stressors. I aim to create a safe, collaborative relationship as we navigate your healing. The focus may be placed on utilizing personal strengths, increasing safe coping skills and improving feelings of empowerment through evidence based interventions.

My Background

I have over 10 years in working with people who are recovering from relational abuse. I have worked with various domestic and sexual violence agencies providing individual and group counseling services. I have experience in suicide prevention and crisis intervention. I received my EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certification in 2019 and enjoy providing EMDR therapy to clients looking to heal from past traumatic experiences and relationships. In my free time I like to garden, kayak, camp and go for walks with my Boston Terrier, Baked Beans.

My Approach to Helping

As a graduate from Portland State University, the majority of my training is centered in trauma-informed, strength-based, anti-oppressive and collaborative perspectives. I utilize a multi-dimensional assessment with individuals, giving special attention to cultural responsiveness and power dynamics.
