My Ideal Client

While I work with a wide range of individuals, my focus is life transitions, anxiety, grief/complex grief and trauma. Many of my clients may be yearning for more trust and confidence within themselves through the peaks and valleys of uncertainty and emotional pain. Sometimes my clients are questioning their relationships (social, familial & romantic) and are craving a stronger connection to their mind and body.

My Approach to Helping

When working together, I view problems from a structuralism framework. In other words, I believe we are deeply impacted by the society we participate in and by our relationships. Therapy is important, and finding the right fit as a client is even more important. I approach therapy from a highly relational, process-oriented framework.. My first and foremost goal , however, is to prioritize and cultivate a strong and authentic therapeutic alliance between myself and you. It is crucial to me that I approach my clients from a forever curious lens. I believe that, no matter how many hours we log together, I will always strive to better understand you than I did our previous session. It is essential to me that I fully believe your story and experience, while holding it with the utmost gentleness and respect.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe that we are deeply impacted by our relationships. In our individualist culture, it is so easy for us to blame ourselves for where we are today and, to forget, that we are companion-oriented species. This ethos is at the center of my work with clients. Studies show that the number one variable responsible for positive change within a client is the therapeutic relationship. This makes so much sense to me because I believe strong therapy has to include authenticity coming from myself. Clients connect with me because they are drawn to my presence and balanced nature. When we are in session, you will feel that I am with you through the laughs, tears, unanswered questions, and discomfort.
