My Ideal Client

My clients are typically BIPOC, queer, and/or neurodivergent adults (ages 18-35) that are wanting to find support with depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, gender dysphoria or coming out, struggles with self-esteem, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, adoption, religious trauma, systemic oppression, and/or psychedelic integration. Whatever you are going through at the moment, I want to be here to walk with you and to support you.

My Approach to Helping

My practice is a combination of narrative, gestalt, transpersonal, psychedelic integration, and humanistic therapy. You may view the definitions in the "techniques I use" section below. My belief that you are the expert of your own life extends into the therapy room. I will work with you to foster an environment of safety and stability, where you feel comfortable working through whatever has brought you to therapy at this time. My hope is that you leave the therapy room with the feeling that you can navigate the world with confidence and authenticity, despite the challenges it throws at you. I approach psychedelic integration from a holistic lens that works with all facets of your experience. All feelings about your journey are welcome here. I use theory and practice that is queer/trans affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, antiracist, sex and kink-positive, traditional and non-traditional relationship affirming, and person-centered.

My Values as a Therapist

As a therapist, I view my clients and their situations through a social justice lens. This means considering all the societal factors that apply when addressing mental health concerns. Socioeconomic status, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, education, and many more factors should all be considered in therapy, and when they are left out, some of our most vulnerable slip through the cracks or get misdiagnosed. Together, we can work to address some of the root causes of suffering from external sources as we also work to build and maintain a healthier version of you, internally. When I'm not providing therapy, I spend time working with a racial equity group in the jam band scene as part of the BIPOC advisory board and as an educational content co-chair, and working for Fireside Project. I can also be found at a music venue, supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community at various events and in online spaces, and researching witchcraft and psychedelics.
