My Ideal Client

Many of my clients come to me for support on their trauma healing journeys, expressing a desire to break cycles, set boundaries, and develop a stronger sense of identity, self worth, and trust in themselves. I love guiding people toward more authentic and fulfilling relationships. I welcome clients of all identities (more on that below) and those attending therapy for the first time or the 50th time.

My Approach to Helping

I believe every individual is the expert of their lived experience and is equipped with the resources they need to grow, change, and thrive, and I also believe we all need a little help to get there sometimes. I am here to walk alongside you in your journey, offering empathy, challenging harmful beliefs, and providing tools for personal growth. I view relationships through an attachment lens and explore emotions as a way to better understand ourselves and others. As a trauma survivor, I have a real understanding of how past experiences can shape our current realities, and the transformative power of processing old wounds. We will work together to create a safe and brave space where you can practice noticing and disrupting patterns that aren't serving you, identifying your needs, setting boundaries, and improving communication. While most of our work is done in session, I also like to offer reading and practices on topics like mindfulness, self-compassion, and nervous system regulation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Systems theory is foundational to my work as a therapist, and I am always interested in exploring the factors outside of ourselves (e.g. family, culture, and politics) that contribute to who we are, what we believe, and how we feel. I welcome all parts of your identity into our work together and aim to co-create a space where we can explore these external influences as well as our own internal narratives. I am anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming, aligned with Health at Every Size principles, sex and kink positive, and deeply enjoy working with relationships in all types of configurations, including consensual non-monogamy, whether you identify as polyamorous, swingers, monogamish, or otherwise.
