My Ideal Client

I am honored to work with folks of any gender expression, sexual orientation, relationship model, race, culture, religion, age, size, and differing ability. I am a sex-positive therapist working from an antiracist, intersectional, trauma-informed perspective. I serve individuals, couples, families, and groups.

My Approach to Helping

I see people as unique and relational beings whose stories have been formed by the society they live in, the families they were raised by, and the stories they believe about themselves formed from their life experiences. I believe that the re-telling of these stories, and the language people use, form the realities people experience. My goal for each client is to gain confidence in each area of their lives and relationships. I emphasize relationships because they are an intricate part of every person’s life. I believe building strong and healthy relationships provides the support and community everyone needs. I draw from Narrative therapy, Internal Family systems, Somatic therapy and Emotionally focused therapies. I am trauma informed, and also utilize my yoga certification to support clients in somatic work and becoming more embodied.

My Values as a Therapist

My therapeutic approach is rooted in unconditional positive regard. I believe we are all doing the best we can with the tools, resources, and awareness available to us in the present moment. I center my work on normalizing the complexity of being human, deconstructing the shame imposed by oppressive systems, and holding a realistic, compassionate view of growth. A guiding value in both my personal and professional life is: “Create the love that sets us free.” This phrase speaks to my commitment to helping others cultivate lives anchored in freedom, connection, and self-acceptance. I believe all beings have the right to live free of shame and to feel deeply connected to themselves and their communities.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Sexual Problems External link

I completed the Sex Therapy track at Lewis & Clark College as part of my graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy. My passion for this work is deeply personal and rooted in my own history within the Christian church—a context that continues to shape dominant cultural narratives around sex, gender, and sexuality. Because of this, I care deeply about supporting individuals in reclaiming freedom, pleasure, and peace in their sexual and gender expression.

  • Eating Disorder External link

I interned at Kartini clinic, an eating disorder clinic, and continued as an employee at the completion of my internship. Here I expanded my understanding and treatment skills concerning eating disorders, relapse, and recovery.
