My Ideal Client

I've received training to work with clients on a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, developmental trauma, grief, relationships and professional development. I enjoy working with clients who have the courage and curiosity to deeply explore their inner terrain. I promise to create and hold safe space for you to explore your patterns, find pathways toward healing, and learn to integrate self knowledge with a new way of relating to your Self and the world.

My Approach to Helping

I help clients develop awareness of the healing space within. The space exists between tension that occurs when we focus on achieving or changing ourself, and the eternal ground we may catch glimpses of when just noticing what's happening as it happens. You may have also heard of this as the space between Being and Becoming. The healing space is an essential holding that we turn to within ourself as we deepen our practice of self healing. I'll be your helper as we practice together by focusing on breath, body, beliefs and reactions. This approach initiates the return of relaxation, safety and trust within, so that we can attune to ourself in a compassionate and curious way. We'll develop awareness of what occurs in a given moment, so that all thoughts, feelings and sensations are welcomed because that's what it means for us to feel more alive. With time and practice, your reactions, or symptoms, will emerge as guides to deeper relationship with all aspects of your self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe with the right support we can learn to heal from within. As a mature clinician, I'm fortunate to have experienced the clinical therapy landscape during a period of rapid change in healing approaches. Many wonderful changes are occurring within this field. Clients are learning to heal from the inside out using mindfulness and body-based interventions such as Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing and, in some cases, medicine-assisted therapy; and these are just a few of the many options. I see the winds of change swirling as never before during my lifetime. We're experiencing climate, political, technological and individual challenges that undermine our individual and collective health. I'm concerned about the effects of all of this on family, friends, neighbors and, most of all, children. As a clinician, I would like to help you see the growth that is possible amidst, and because of, small and large challenges. I hope we have the opportunity to work together.
