My Ideal Client

As a former school counselor, I enjoy working with young people. I have experience working as a counselor with all levels of schools, but I have the most experience with middle and high school-aged kids. They might be struggling with relationships, family dynamics, or questions about their own identity development. As adults, you might be struggling with a sense of purpose, getting caught up in the "future", or finding yourself reminiscing on the past.

My Approach to Helping

I believe that each person can grow and heal given the right space. Sometimes, we can feel stuck, lose confidence in ourselves, or find ourselves looking outward and comparing our experiences to those of others. In these moments, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to support clients in understanding their experiences and their impact on their lives. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help clarify, so we can together understand the impact. I believe that together we can help you see your strength and confidence.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I listen deeply and with empathy. I work to make sure clients feel like they belong and their experiences are not being judged. It can be hard enough to ask for help in the first place, so I want to ensure that anyone I work with knows that I value their experience. I believe it is important to understand their client through their lens, but also through a relational lens. I think it is essential to understand how interpersonal relationships, aspects of society, and even our intrapersonal relationships with ourselves can have an impact on how we view ourselves and the issues we face. In understanding that, I believe it is important to create manageable goals and have interventions that can help lead to the client's achieving these goals.
