My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with highly sensitive, neurodivergent, creative and deep-thinking humans who are navigating life transitions, grief, healing trauma, feeling blocked, or experiencing a spiritual emergency and needing support in grounding and integrating. I am also happy to support those from the LGBTQIA community, including those on the Ace spectrum, and people in non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships.

What I Specialize In

“Grief expressed out loud, whether in or out of character, unchoreographed and honest, for someone we have lost, or a country or home we have lost, is in itself the greatest praise we could ever give them. Grief is praise, because it is the natural way love honors what it misses.” – Martin Pretchel grief and loss trauma healing, PTSD neurodivergent-affirming support and self compassion, as well as skill building anxiety depression spiritual emergency/ psychospiritual crisis art therapy for nervous system regulation and healing self-awareness, shadow work Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a legal form of psychedelic therapy offered in-office using sub-lingual ketamine prescribed by a physician. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Art making is a personal path for me that is about much more than the finished work. From processing emotions and experiences, to moving energy or simply enjoying the flow state and process of creation, the creative process is the best healer. My counseling and psychology training was very structured, clinical and scientific. Always fascinated by nature and science, I can be a quiet observer, logical thinker and problem solver but I am first and foremost an artist and mystic at heart. In my free time when I am not making art (which doesn't leave much extra time honestly) I like to go hiking, work out, spend time with my pets, and take care of my many houseplants and herb garden

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Art Therapy External link

I am a registered art therapist (ATR) and enjoy helping clients engage with their own creative energy to facilitate healing. This may look very different depending on the individual, but can include painting, drawing, collage-making, art journaling, photography, sewing, or sculpture/ mixed media. I generally use the “art as therapy” approach which means that the art-making process itself is heal

  • EMDR External link

I have completed the basic EMDR training (40 hours plus supervision) through the EMDR International Association, and have been practicing with this modality since 2016. EMDR is believed to activate the nervous system to move traumatic experiences from being stored in the body to the form of narrative memories, and can help relieve hyper vigilance, anxiety, depression, feeling shut down, emotionally overwhelmed and other trauma exposure symptoms.
