My Ideal Client

The ones who have an amazing connection with their pets, their characters, their stories, their communities where they feel seen and who sometimes feel like the world doesn’t quite get how much those connections matter or get them. I am a certified pet loss and bereavement counselor and a geek-affirming therapist. That means you can talk about losing your pet, your favorite movies and shows, your D&D stuff, or your sense of home. I am not going to blink or minimize any of it. It all counts.

My Approach to Helping

I work with people who love deeply whether it's their pets, people, stories, or their badass fictional worlds. The folks who bond hard, feel big in life, and sometimes get told they’re “way too sensitive” or “way too attached.” (Spoiler alert: You are not cuz You’re human!) As a certified pet loss and bereavement counselor and a geek-affirming therapist, I will take you seriously. Losing a soul-pet, saying goodbye to a longtime cat or dog, outgrowing a community, finishing the game or show that carried you through a hard time-guess what it all counts big time. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and a bit nerdy and geeky. You never have to explain your references to movies, music, etc. You never have to minimize what you love and care about. This is a space where your whole self is welcome — fandoms, feelings, and all.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

When I’m not in session, you can usually find me with a sabre in hand at the fencing club or training. I love the mix of strategy, quick thinking, courage, learning from my fellow fencers, and heart it takes to step onto the strip — you don’t avoid getting hit, you learn how to recover and keep going. I'm always curious and always learning. It's fun! Have I fallen before? Ohh yeah but I keep getting up and just keep going. Parry five is one of my favorite moves when I remember to use it! :) That philosophy shows up in my therapy work too. As a geek-affirming therapist and certified pet loss and bereavement counselor, I work with people who love very deeply — whether their pets, their people, their fictional worlds — and who sometimes may feel a little out of place elsewhere. Therapy with me is collaborative and human: we build skills, regroup after hard moments, and face life’s boss battles together. No judgment, no minimizing, just steady support and a safe place to catch your breath.
