My Ideal Client

I work with individuals and couples across a range of backgrounds and life experiences, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ clients and clients struggling with addiction. I am committed to providing affirming, inclusive care that honors each client’s identity, autonomy, and unique path forward.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in respect for each client’s autonomy and lived experience. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals and couples feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Therapy with me is not about being fixed or directed, but about being understood and supported as meaningful change unfolds. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems frameworks. This integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, goals, and context. Throughout our work together, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and adapting our sessions to what feels most helpful and relevant for you.

My Values as a Therapist

At the heart of my work as a therapist is a genuine respect for your autonomy, lived experience, and capacity for change. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, human, and grounded in trust - a space where you don't have to perform or have everything figured out. I am especially passionate about offering an affirming, supportive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, where identity, relationships, and the way you move through the world can be explored openly and without judgment. I also approach conversations around substance use from a harm-reduction perspective, meaning we focus on what feels realistic, supportive, and meaningful for you, whether that includes abstinence or other goals. Above all, I am to show up with curiosity, compassion, and respect, and to meet you wherever you are in the process.
