My Ideal Client

I work with clients of all ages, including children, teens, adults, and parents. My ideal clients are those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-worth or confidence challenges, parenting difficulties, postpartum concerns, or birth-related trauma, as well as those navigating life transitions, career changes, or personal growth. I provide a compassionate, supportive space tailored to your unique needs.

My Background and Approach

I’m Megan, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel truly heard and understood. My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, gently encouraging you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences more deeply. I take an eclectic approach tailored to your unique needs, combining understanding of how early relationships shape us with practical strategies for addressing present challenges. Together, we’ll uncover insights, build actionable solutions, and foster meaningful growth—sometimes with a bit of humor along the way. I work with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and parents, supporting a wide range of concerns with compassion and respect.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because of my own personal challenges and the memory of feeling alone during difficult times, without anyone to lean on. I wanted to be the kind of support I once needed. I began my career as a school counselor, helping students navigate their struggles for five years, and later transitioned to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. My experiences have given me a deep empathy for clients and a strong commitment to creating a safe, understanding space where no one has to face their challenges alone.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety by providing a compassionate, trauma-informed approach. I work collaboratively to validate experiences while teaching practical coping skills, grounding techniques, and strategies to manage overwhelming thoughts and feelings. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to face challenges with resilience, insight, and self-compassion.

  • Child or Adolescent Issues External link

I specialize in working with children and adolescents because I understand how challenging it can be to navigate emotions, relationships, and life transitions at a young age. Having faced my own struggles, I can relate to what kids and teens experience, and I want them to know they’re not alone. My time as a school counselor showed me the impact of compassionate support, and I strive to create a safe, understanding space where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

  • Parenting External link

I specialize in supporting parents because I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of raising children. As a parent myself, I know how overwhelming it can feel to navigate the many demands and transitions of family life. My experience as a school counselor allowed me to work closely with children and families, helping them manage challenges, build resilience, and find practical solutions. I draw on this experience to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where parents can feel heard,
