My Ideal Client

I specialize in helping clients heal attachment wounds, strengthen intimacy, and reduce shame around sexual desire and behavior. I work with adults and teens navigating compulsive sexual behavior, pornography concerns, anger, and relationship stress using DBT-, CBT-, and attachment-informed care. I also support individuals and couples exploring polyamory, ENM, and kink from a sex-positive, trauma-informed lens.

My Approach to Helping

My clinical approach is grounded in attachment theory, meaning I work relationally to help clients feel safe enough to grow through discomfort and meaningful change. I integrate cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and schema-informed interventions with a strong focus on nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care. Much of my work centers on reducing shame and helping clients build healthier relationships with intimacy, sexuality, and emotional connection. I support clients navigating life and relationship transitions — including parenthood, dating, and evolving relationship structures — and affirm diverse experiences such as consensual non-monogamy and kink. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and structured, supporting you in moving forward with greater clarity, regulation, and self-trust.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I believe we all deserve compassion for the parts of us that feel most human, vulnerable, and imperfect. Too often, people carry shame and secrecy in isolation, fearing what might happen if their full selves were seen. My work is rooted in creating a space where clients can exhale — where nothing important about you is met with judgment. I am especially drawn to supporting those navigating shame around intimacy, sexuality, relationships, and life transitions. I hope to offer a grounded, compassionate, and gently structured environment where you can better understand your patterns, reconnect with your values, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Attachment Theory External link

I view my practice through an attachment theory lens, as I recognize the powerful impact our childhood attachments have on our current relationships and behaviors. Therefore, I use the relationship between myself and the client as the basis for creating a safe place to explore healing childhood wounds and generalizing that healing to other important relationships in our lives.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) External link

I have been trained in DBT skill building through the Portland DBT Institute. I utilize this modality throughout my practice with all types of clients, as I find it a very practical tool for living a healthy life.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Sexual Addiction External link

I have over 10 years of experience supporting clients navigating sexual preoccupation, compulsive sexual behavior, and concerns related to pornography use. My approach is trauma-informed, non-shaming, and grounded in evidence-based modalities including DBT and CBT. Together, we focus on building sustainable coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and understanding the underlying drivers of behavior so that change feels integrated and lasting.

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

I've discovered a deep passion for supporting individuals and couples navigating the transition from a monogamous framework to a polyamorous or ethically non-monogamous (ENM) one. This shift can feel both empowering and overwhelming, but with open communication, a strong sense of community, and work around attachment dynamics, I believe we can find a new sense of balance together. I also bring a kink-informed, sex-positive approach to therapy for those exploring alternative lifestyles.

  • Postpartum External link

As both a mother and a perinatal mental health specialist, I understand the profound impact of the perinatal and postpartum period on those navigating the journey into motherhood. This is a special area of focus for me, and I’ve completed extensive training to support a healthy, empowered transition through all the diverse experiences that motherhood can bring.

  • Anger Management External link

I am trained in dialectical behavioral therapy and schema therapy in order to help clients gain awareness for their emotional needs and build distress tolerance skills. I also have five years experiencing working with both perpetrators and victims of domestic violence.
