My Ideal Client

I specialize in supporting clients navigating trauma-related concerns, including PTSD, using an EMDR-focused approach as a central part of my practice. I also work with young adults and teenagers experiencing anxiety, stress, school-related challenges, and trauma-related issues. In addition, I support ADHD and neurodivergent individuals across all ages. I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and strive to provide a compassionate, inclusive, and culturally responsive space.

My Approach to Helping

I have extensive experience working with children, teenagers, young adults, and adults. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for using EMDR as a central focus in my practice to support healing from trauma and distressing experiences. I firmly believe in collaboration and teamwork, and I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership built on trust, safety, and rapport. As we move through your healing journey together, my goal is for you to leave each session with practical tools and strategies you can begin using right away in daily life. My approach integrates mindfulness and visualization exercises, narrative techniques, breathing practices, and positive affirmations to help clients feel grounded, empowered, and supported between sessions. I also believe therapy should feel manageable and sustainable, which is why any homework or practice exercises I provide are designed to take no more than five minutes a day.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe life is beautiful, yet it can also be deeply challenging at times. Often, healing begins when we feel truly understood, supported, and accepted. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, clarity, and empowerment. Growing up in an unsupportive home and school environment motivated me to become a self-learner and self-helper from an early age. Those experiences became one of the reasons I chose the counseling field: to support others by sharing both professional knowledge and lived understanding. Traveling the world and living in different countries helped shape my multicultural, open-minded perspective and deep appreciation for people from diverse backgrounds. Working with children and young adults within the school system has also helped me stay young at heart and connected to the resilience and creativity of younger generations. Over the years, I developed a personal life motto: Live, Love, and Laugh. I had to learn myself through life experiences.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

My main treatment orientation is EMDR. Having experienced trauma myself and successfully worked through it with the help of EMDR therapy, I became deeply passionate about this approach and its healing potential. I completed professional EMDR training, earned supervision hours, and continued developing my skills through extensive clinical practice. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work extensively with clients experiencing PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, and neurodivergent-related challenges.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

I became passionate about the EMDR approach and now use it as a primary focus in my work with clients experiencing PTSD and trauma-related challenges. I completed in-person EMDR training and supervision through EMDR Consulting, which further strengthened my clinical skills and understanding of trauma-informed care. In addition to my professional training, I have personally experienced PTSD and have benefited from EMDR therapy myself through many sessions.

  • Anxiety External link

My years of professional experience working with young individuals, along with my personal experience as a parent of children who have experienced anxiety and ADHD, inspired me to deepen my understanding of these challenges and explore effective therapeutic approaches to support healing and growth. This journey led me to integrate both EMDR and IFS (Internal Family Systems) as major approaches in my work with anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation.
