My Approach to Helping

Mental Illness has a way of making us feel devalued. The name I chose for this company is Valueris (pronounced val-AIR-is), which in Latin means to "be well" or "be strong". My focus is to help you rediscover, restore, and retain your sense of individual value or worth. I primarily offer medication management therapies coupled with talk therapy and an ongoing emphasis on education into my patients' conditions. I find that many who come see me may have a history of being treated for a mental health condition without achieving satisfactory relief. I will take my time with you, listen, and seek your buy-in before WE determine the direction of YOUR treatment. I may use medical, psychological, logical, religious and spiritual approaches to help with your concerns, which ever you helps you the most.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I feel strongly that all people have value and worth that is intrinsic and not defined by the whims, rants, and ideas of the multiple opinions around us. Our worth is like the sun, it is always shining bright and is extremely powerful. So are we. I believe that much of our mental illness issues come from our lack of realizing who we really are. Mental health and stability comes when we are enlightened to our own personal worth and value and the we must all accept ourselves first, before we truly have the capacity to help, love and serve others. Yes, offenses and anxieties will come; they are all around us. But realizing who we really are and treating ourselves with love and respect first, will give us the power to help those around us. Let's meet and see if we can explore together your absolute value! After all, your worth is as bright as the sun :)

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Medication Management External link

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, medication management and expertise is a core part of my training and practice. Since not all therapists are able to utilize medication therapy, I felt that it is important for me to at least consider (but not always implement), medications as AN option for mental health. Medications may help some of my patients do their own internal work that is essential for healthy change. But medications alone are not sufficient, only a help for real change.
