My Ideal Client

I enjoy working with teens, relationships/partnerships (including relationships with parents or other relationship challenges, both current and past), adults, and those that are dealing with trauma. It’s great when clients come ready to do the hard work. However, I understand a client may not be ready for that yet and that we may need to take it slower. I recognize coming into counseling is the first step and am glad that you are taking it. I am ready to go at the pace that best works for you.

My Approach to Helping

Life can be challenging. At times it can be filled with obstacles that seem insurmountable. Anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, work, low self-esteem and trauma can make one’s life even more difficult to navigate. Learning skills to help you through these challenges can be key to helping you overcome them. I would like to come alongside you on your journey to help you find peace and freedom. I will bring compassion, genuineness, empathy, directness, and humor into our sessions. I will also bring my understanding of how trauma can affect every aspect of your life, including your body. One of my main goals is to create an environment of safety and a place to explore to gain an insight.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my spare time, I love to cook and laugh with my family and friends. My other hobbies include gardening, reading, cooking, and sewing. I have also recently started "jogging". The longer I work on my self-care practices, the more I see them intersect with my hobbies and I love this.
