My Ideal Client

My clients often come to therapy looking for a way to experience this thing we call life differently. I work with teens, couples, parents and adults. I also work with folks struggling with active addiction and/or in recovery. I am level 2 Gottman trained for couples therapy.

How I Can Help You

What you and I identify as your goals for therapy will guide me in how I approach therapy with you. I am a person centered therapist at heart who also uses motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and existential therapy. Learning what works for you and what doesn't is very important to me in your treatment. If you have tried previous therapies you did not find helpful, I am not going to force that back onto you. Healing does not look the same for everyone. Some folks want to be able to get out of bed in the morning and make it to work on time without forgetting their lunch. Other folks want to be able to go to a grocery store without having a panic attack. And some people just want to live to see tomorrow. How you heal and what that process it looks like will not look the same for everyone.

My Approach to Helping

Couples Therapy: I help couples strengthen their connection using the evidence-based Gottman Method, with a focus on improving communication, deepening emotional intimacy, and fostering greater hope, acceptance, and appreciation for one another. I believe couples come to therapy because they long for something to shift—and that meaningful change is absolutely possible. My approach is collaborative, warm, supportive and direct, creating a grounded space where both partners can feel valued and understood. I provide gentle yet direct challenges when appropriate and aligned with your established goals. I offer structure, focus, and direction throughout the couples therapy experience, helping you stay grounded and purposeful in your growth together. I aim to help you build and strengthen your relationship awareness—like a muscle that grows with intention, reflection, and practice. I believe in the power of relationships to heal, grow, and transform. It would be a privilege to support you.
