My Approach to Helping

My approach is authentic, non-judgmental, trauma-informed and inclusive. I use a combination of behavioral, emotional, and mindfulness-based approaches to meet you where you are. The therapy approaches I use are CBT, DBT, ACT and EFT. It's a lot of letters, I know. I'm happy to chat with you about what might fit best for you! Therapy should be made-to-order. From me you can expect acceptance, validation, affirmation, kind and honest feedback, and insights/tools. I value inclusivity and welcome diversity in gender, sexuality, race, body size, and ability in my work. On the logistical side of counseling, I am in-network with the insurance companies below for individual counseling only and will bill for you; couples counseling is paid out of pocket at $165/55-minute session and not billed to insurance.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Though pain is inevitable it doesn’t have to prevent us from living a fulfilling and meaningful life. I'm big on self-compassion and acceptance and use a fair amount of those ideas in my work with clients. I believe in embracing who we are and bring my true self to sessions, so with me you can expect some good-natured sass and playfulness and a lot of honesty.
