My Ideal Client

I work with adults (18+) who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, challenges in relationships, and the effects of trauma including depression and anxiety. My ideal client is genuinely interested in self-reflection and ready to dive deeper into exploring their emotional and relational and patterns. l am contracted to accept all Kaiser Insurance plans, and I also accept out of pocket payments (at a rate of $145/hour) with some sliding scale options.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. I have been working as a therapist in various settings for over 6 years. Growth takes place within relationships; I offer a warm, direct, and consistent therapeutic relationship from which you can explore your internal world. I believe that many of the "problems" or "symptoms" we bring to therapy are protective adaptations or 'parts' of us that have helped us to tolerate or even survive past circumstances. When we explore these 'parts' of ourselves from a place of compassion and curiosity, we open up the possibility of relieving distress and improving relationships with others & with ourselves! Some of the clinical approaches I integrate/am informed by include internal family systems (IFS), attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals (EFIT) and somatic/ mindfulness approaches. I am a EMDR Level 1 Trained Clinician but do not actively practice EMDR at this time.

My Values as a Therapist

I strive to adhere to the principle of radical acceptance and offer a non-judgmental, welcoming space to individuals of all backgrounds. It is my sincere hope that with time, my clients can feel safe bringing their most authentic selves to therapy. To support this, I am committed to engaging in my own self-reflection regarding how my identities may show up in the therapeutic space. I am also committed to providing a supportive space to name/discuss the various societal systems that oppress or exclude.
