My Ideal Client

I commonly work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions, as well as those in helping and caregiving professions who experience direct or vicarious trauma. My practice is a supportive space for individuals who hold responsibility for others, who feel emotionally stretched by the weight of their roles, or who are seeking renewed resilience, clarity, and self-connection.

My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic approach is grounded in existential therapy, highlighting meaning, values, and personal strengths, and is complemented by a humanistic focus on compassion, authenticity, and genuine connection. I also honor the role of community, cultural heritage, and intergenerational resilience in shaping who we are and how we heal. In our time together, we may slow down to explore what you are experiencing in the present moment, reflect on thought and behavior patterns, develop a supportive self care plan, or even use humor as a way to reconnect with joy and self acceptance. Throughout the process, we will draw on your strengths and core values to develop coping, understanding and growth that is true to you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe deeply in the power of personal stories. We learn who we are, where we come from, and how we move forward through the stories we carry and the ones we create. Everyone deserves the opportunity to author their own narrative and live an authentic life, even when hardship or unexpected turns make that feel difficult. Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing tremendous resilience in the people I work with. Those experiences have shaped my belief that each of us holds the capacity to face life’s stressors, joys, and tragedies and that gaining insight into our values and strengths helps us not only cope, but grow and thrive.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Compassion Fatigue External link

I specialize in Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma. If you are a professional helper beginning to feel burnt out or traumatized by your work, this is a normal reaction that occurs to professional helpers. You can grow and cope with it! You owe it to yourself, family, friends, and clients to take action.

  • Adjustment Disorder External link

Life takes many twists and turns. Changes can be unexpected, planned, natural, feared, or welcomed. Sometimes the emotional stress can feel like too much. Change is inevitability; letting it control our emotions is not. There is always the opportunity to transform and promote growth and wellness. I look forward to the chance to help you transform and grow.
