My Ideal Client

As you consider your needs, know that my background includes working with individuals diverse in age, race, county of origin, ability, sexual orientation and faith. If you are 18yrs of age and older, Individual please consider giving me a call for a free 15min phone session to begin your journey towards living your Renewed life. We can focus in on relationships, sleep and work performance as top areas highly affected by stress. I have a specialty working with professional resiliency.

My Approach to Helping

Imagine a bullseye, and at the center of that bullseye is your best life. The life filled with calm and self-compassion. My approach will help you identify and name your treatment goals. We will then work together to reduce the intensity and frequency of symptoms you are experiencing so you can begin focusing on living a life you love. My approach is both didactic and somatic. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which are both traditional talk therapy styles. I also come from a somatic approach through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is an eye movement therapy that can address trauma, phobias, ADHD, and many forms of anxiety. ART works on the right hemisphere of the brain, which uses imagery and metaphors.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe that every human being deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, and that access to quality healthcare, including mental healthcare, is a fundamental human right. No one should have to earn care, prove their pain, or perform their suffering to deserve support. Being human is enough. My work is rooted in the understanding that emotions are not problems to solve but messages to listen to with gentleness and curiosity. I value creating spaces where people feel safe to be human, where their fears, hopes, mistakes, and growth are all welcome. I bring a trauma-informed, feminist, values-focused approach that honors each person’s lived experience. I help clients separate their identity from their thoughts, feelings, and past, so they can move through the world with more clarity, self-compassion, and freedom.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy External link

Accelerated resolution therapy, or ART, is a type of therapy using techniques such as rapid eye movement and image replacement, this approach works to recondition stressful memories, changing how they are stored in the brain to improve overall mental health. ART is helpful when you have stress-inducing memories or future fears.

  • Coaching External link

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to bring you the tools you need for mental wellness.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Political Climate External link

Because I’ve spent many years helping people manage all kinds of anxiety (worry, overwhelm, racing thoughts) I understand how stress shows up in the body and mind. Political anxiety taps into the same patterns I see every day: feeling tense, overthinking, doom-scrolling, or carrying fear about things we can’t control. My experience helps me lead the Political Anxiety Support Group. I know how to teach simple, practical tools that help people feel calmer and think more clearly.
