My Ideal Client

Are you constantly feeling like you're not good enough, that you don't measure up? Are your relationships suffering? Are you feeling hopeless, irritable, exhausted and chronically stressed in the never-ending pandemic? I can help you uncover the answers that will strengthen your relationships with yourself and others, and enable you to find joy again. When you are ready to start, I will be here with a safe, supportive and open heart, and hold space for you to process, heal and grow.

My Approach to Helping

I will help you identify the source of your symptoms and help you find acceptance and self-compassion while discovering healthier ways to heal, connect and eventually thrive. I use authenticity, humor, directness, warmth and a strengths-based approach to help you build resiliency and self-confidence. Treatment is an individualized process, which means I meet you where you are and create a plan to support your individual needs and goals. Through my work as a therapist, I strive to integrate social justice and equity, and thus my goal is to make counseling more accessible and less stigmatized. I offer a sliding scale to ensure those experiencing financial hardship can seek help.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern registered with the State of Oregon under the supervision of Elizabeth Trautwein, LPC. I earned my masters in professional mental health counseling with a specialization in addictions from Lewis & Clark College and my bachelors in communications and psychology from Syracuse University in New York. I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I with MHACBO in Oregon and trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Prior to joining the counseling field, I spent 15 years as a public relations specialist working in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. As a therapist, I have 4 years of experience providing individual, group and family therapy to youth, adults and families in residential, outpatient, school-based and community mental health settings. I am a mom to identical twin college age daughters, a native Portlander, an active ally to BIPOC and LGBTQ communities and graduate of Portland Public Schools.
