My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with specialized training in systems-based and somatic approaches to healing. My work is grounded in the belief that we cannot fully understand ourselves without considering the relationships, environments, and experiences that have shaped us. Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I take a holistic, relational approach that honors the connection between the mind, body, nervous system, and the systems we live within.
My approach integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, somatic therapy, and evidence-based practices to help clients understand how their nervous system, relationships, and lived experiences shape the way they move through the world. I draw from Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Strengths Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, informed interventions to create treatment that is collaborative and experiential.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Often, the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that bring people to therapy are not signs that something is wrong with them, they are adaptive responses developed in response to life's experiences. Therapy is an opportunity to understand those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment while creating new pathways rooted in safety, connection and choice.
While healing often begins by reducing pain, I also believe it involves intentionally cultivating joy, pleasure, play, creativity, and meaningful relationships. These experiences aren't simply rewards after healing, they are part of the healing process itself and support a resilient, regulated nervous system.
As a therapist, I value authenticity, collaboration, and honoring each client's unique story. My role isn't to tell you who to become, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own inner wisdom, values, and strengths.
