I believe the foundation of therapy is to develop a safe and trusting relationship. Because each client is unique and has their own story, I strive to understand my clients in the context of their psychological, physical and spiritual background. I use an integrative approach to counseling with a strong reliance on Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Development, specializing in Early Childhood Development from Pacific Oaks College and a Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University. I have worked in community mental health agencies and private practice. I am an approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Oregon working with LMFT and LPC registered interns.

Techniques I Use

Although my approach is eclectic I have a strong reliance on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT helps us understand the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behavior
