My Ideal Client

Maybe you are stuck in a transition and feel lost or stressed or grief due to the change. Perhaps you are stuck in behaviors that don’t serve you and want relief from anxiety & shame. I’ll listen without judgment to your stories that say where you came from, where you are, and where you are going. We'll collaborate to find a path toward a renewed sense of self that honors your strengths and your accomplishments, knowing you have it in you to grow and that you are the expert of your own life.

What I Specialize In

You may be feeling stuck and desire change in your life, and may be unsure about how to explore possible futures, yet you are willing to muster up courage to start taking steps. Sometimes it is difficult to say what needs to be said, to get both the discomfort and joy in your stories into the open so you can be heard and so you can hear yourself. I have experience doing trauma-informed, co-occurring work with couples, mature & senior adults, veterans, BIPOC folks, men, clients who aren’t sure what counseling is, and the family and friends that support them. I've worked with couples and individuals impacted by anxiety, grief, life transitions, ADHD, childhood trauma & PTSD, and addictions (substance, internet, gambling, crypto), and a general sense of being stuck.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

A healing relationship is collaborative. I know that everyone has the ability to overcome adversity, recover from trauma, build resilience, and learn to thrive in their life. Building a relationship with a therapist who provides a safe, non-judgmental space free of shame and stigma can help. I believe we are people of story, through our stories we can learn who we would like to be and how we would like to act. Exploring your stories will help us focus on your relationships, community, meaningful ways of being, values, and strengths that will help you make changes you want to make. Words are not the only way to convey story. I honor the body, intuition, and chance, integrating talk therapy using an existential-narrative-gestalt lens with Depth Psychology/Shadow Work, Creative/Expressive Modalities, Parts Work, and Somatic/Embodiment therapies using a deeply humanist, decolonized practice.

I approach each client in a holistic way. I'm interested in the meaning and emotion behind their stories, their values, their social context. We will collaborate toward creating intentional meaning in an integrative way, often dipping into gestalt, creative/expressive, mindful, somatic, and depth therapies to work on themselves or their relationships.

Issues I Treat
