My Approach to Helping

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. Rather than believing there is one way to do therapy, I work with you to find approaches and tools that fit who you are. I am EMDR trained and have additional training and experience in traumatic grief, bibliotherapy, Focusing, and creative and “out-of-the-box” therapeutic approaches. Sometimes healing happens through conversation; other times, writing, books, creative activities, mindfulness, or other tools may help you express and process things that are difficult to put into words. We will work together to understand what you are going through, recognize your strengths, and build tools that can help you navigate emotions, relationships, identity, grief, trauma, and life changes. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, listen, support you, and help you discover what healing and growth can look like for you.
